About Us - What We Do

The Queens Interagency Council on Aging unites senior citizens, service professionals and elected officials to address the challenges of Aging in America.

We provide monthly community programs and events, as well as yearly conferences and forums on a variety of topics and issues that affect the senior population.

Through its member agencies, QICA strives to ensure that all older adults have access to essential services necessary to their health and well being. QICA provides a fertile meeting ground facilitating networking, social action and arts and cultural enrichment across all legislative districts.

QICA is funded in part by the Borough President of Queens, members of the New York State Legislature administered through the New York State Office on the Aging (SOFA), Speaker Christine Quinn and the Queens Delegation of the New York City Council.  We greatly appreciate the long standing support of individual elected officials including State Senators Frank Padavan and Toby Stavisky, Assembly-members Ann-Margaret Carrozza and Audrey I. Pheffer and City Council members David I. Weprin, Leroy G. Comrie, Melinda Katz, Helen Sears and Peter F. Vallone Jr.
